Nitro Safety Guide

How to protect yourself from fake Nitro gifts and scams.

Common Nitro Scams

Discord Nitro is the most common target for phishing and account theft. Scammers often use "Free Nitro" as bait to steal your account tokens or login credentials.

1

Check the Domain

Official Discord gifts ALWAYS start with discord.gift/ or discord.com/gifts/. If you see domains like dlscord.gift, discord-nitro.com, or free-nitro.ru, it is a phishing link. Never click them.

2

QR Code Scams

Never scan a QR code sent to you via DM. Discord's "Scan to Login" feature is only for your own devices. If you scan a stranger's QR code, they gain full access to your account instantly.

3

Verification Bots

Legitimate servers will never ask you to "verify" your account by clicking a Nitro link or scanning a QR code. These bots are designed to steal your token.

Using the Nitro Checker

Our Nitro Checker tool uses the official Discord API to fetch metadata about a gift code. It is 100% safe because it only "views" the gift—it never attempts to "claim" it to any account.
